A Synthesis for evidence on the effectiveness of country-led approaches to development assistance

Agulhas was invited to prepare a synthesis for emerging evidence on the effectiveness of country-led approaches to development assistance, including the shift away from policy conditionality, alignment of aid with country policies and systems, the effectiveness of PRSPs as a tool for country leadership, and the development of new mechanisms for mutual accountability.

This work directly supported DFID’s Policy Division in preparation for the 2006 Development White Paper.
