Logan Smith

Logan is an educator with several years of experience developing education programmes, specifically for Title I schools across the United States. He also holds experience evaluating UN Agencies and IFIs with the Multilateral Performance Network (MOPAN), hosted at the OECD.

Logan is an independent consultant who has worked with Agulhas on a range of projects, most notably their support of the Multilateral Organisation Performance Assessment Network (MOPAN). His background is in education program development, having served for over 7 years as an in-classroom educator for leadership development programs in secondary schools across the United States.

Logan’s current work combines his experience in evaluation with his expertise in curriculum development to help train teachers on how to more effectively construct lessons on topics related to International Peace and Security, International Development, and Human Rights. He serves as the Senior Programming Manager for the Model UN Institute, the world’s leading K-12 education programme for creating global citizens through education on the United Nations. He has travelled to train educators from across the globe, most notably Honduras, Ecuador, Malaysia, and the United Arab Emirates.

Logan also served as part of the MOPAN Secretariat for 3 years, specialising in stakeholder negotiation, research and policy analysis, and promoting institutional learning and behaviour change within multilateral organisations.

Logan’s key skills lie in community development through education programming, curriculum development, equity and inclusion, team management, and monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL).
