Nakai contributes to research and business development across Agulhas. She is responsible for analysing documents, data, drafting content for reports and proposals, and supporting knowledge management systems. Nakai assists with project coordination and logistics, helping the team with the smooth delivery of projects.
Nakai has experience in research, communications, and partnership development across education, NGOs, and international development organisations. They have worked in a secondary school setting, supported community-building initiatives in the NGO space, and conducted research on climate adaptation in fragile contexts. With additional experience in strategic communications, Nakai brings strong analytical, organisational, and engagement skills to Agulhas. Their areas of interest are just energy transitions and climate resilience, with a commitment to advancing inclusive solutions that mitigate the impacts of climate change.
Outside of work, Nakai enjoys getting outdoors and discovering new parts of the city, often through long walks or hikes. They have a passion for music, regularly curating playlists and attending gigs and open mic nights, and they also enjoy travelling whenever the opportunity arises.
