Giulia is Junior Fellow at Agulhas, providing research and analysis across Agulhas’ portfolio of projects. Giulia currently works as an analyst supporting the Independent Commission for Aid Impact (ICAI). She has worked on the ICAI review of UK aid’s contribution to tackling international tax avoidance and tax evasion and on the review of UK aid’s response to irregular migration in the central Mediterranean. Giulia’s latest work includes a review of the Disaster Emergency Committee’s Yemen appeal, and an ICAI review of the Conflict, Security and Stability Fund which will be published in Spring 2018.

Before joining Agulhas, Giulia worked for 5 years in project and operational management with the NGO Jandira Onlus, and in fundraising and bid-writing with the consultancy Inova Ltd. She evaluated projects for IFAD and the European Commission. She has also volunteered for a number of NGOs including World Vision, Habitat for Humanity, Greenpeace, and Centro Astalli.

Giulia holds a BSc in International Relations from the University of Roma Tre and a MSc in Political Economy of Development from the London School of Economics. She has worked in Brazil, Colombia and Jordan and she fluently speaks Italian, French and Portuguese.
