Giulia is Fellow at Agulhas, providing research and analysis across Agulhas’ portfolio of reviews. She currently works as an analyst for the Independent Commission for Aid Impact (ICAI). She was part of the team delivering 5 ICAI reviews: on international tax avoidance and evasion, irregular migration in the central Mediterranean, the UK Conflict Security and Stability Fund, UN humanitarian reform and the Newton Fund. Giulia also works on other projects including a review of the Disaster Emergency Committee’s Yemen appeal, and a number of publications for the African Development Bank.
Before joining Agulhas, Giulia worked for 5 years in project and operational management with the NGO Jandira Onlus, and in fundraising and bid-writing with the consultancy Inova Ltd. She evaluated projects for IFAD and the European Commission. She has also volunteered for a number of NGOs including World Vision, Habitat for Humanity, Greenpeace, and Centro Astalli.
Giulia holds a BSc in International Relations from the University of Roma Tre and a MSc in Political Economy of Late Development from the London School of Economics. She has worked in Brazil, Colombia, Jordan and Mali and she speaks Italian, French and Portuguese fluently.
