UK Climate Change Risk Assessment 2017 Synthesis report: priorities for the next five years

Agulhas’ Director Catherine Cameron was a contributing author of the Climate Change Risk Assessment 2016. The report draws together the available evidence relating to the risks and opportunities from the impacts of climate change in the UK. The aim of the report is to assess the urgency of further action or research to be conducted in the next five years, to help the UK and others prioritise their resources. The report concludes that the six immediate priority areas are related to risks of flooding and coastal change, the impact of high temperatures in the built environment, risks to natural capital, risks of future water shortages, impacts on the global food system, and risks arising from new and emerging pests and diseases.
